RUPERT - Lonnie Edwards accounted for 199 total yards of offense and three touchdowns, including the Titan back-breaker, a 29-yard romp with 5 minutes to go in the third quarter to lead the Mini-Cassia Bulldawgs to a 43-12 victory over rival, Helena. After Edwards scored two of the three Bulldawg first half touchdowns to carry the Dawgs out to an early 21-0 halftime lead, the Titans almost made a game out of it. Despite a total net yardage deficit of 114-543 to Mini-Cassia, the Titans came back in the third quarter and after two Donny Kaneshiro touchdowns, only trailed 21-12. Edwards' big 3rd quarter run seemed to be the deciding play as the Titans, who struggled offensively throughout against the top-ranked Bulldawgs, just could not muster another scoring opportunity.

Bulldawg quarterback, Mike Manning had an exceptional day, passing for 246 yards and rushing for another 35. The only interception he through all game was nullified by a Titan penalty. Bulldawg fullback, Jacob Zemke returned to the Bulldawgs backfield, rushing for 56 yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion. The Bulldawg defense was lead by non other than Alan Hakes (9-1/2 tackles) and a trio of "double-baggers", Tim O'Donnell (2 sacks), Brad Slater (2 sacks) and RMFL Sack Leader, Dustin Lapray (2 sacks). The Titans were not without their big performances. Once again, quarterback Shane Jurasek lead all Titan rushers, this time, however with only 31 rushing yards. Lucas Anderson began a "return to form", catching a team high 5 Jurasek passes for 66 yards. On defense, Micheal Moe continued to impress with a team-high 10-1/2 tackles. Converted all-star tailback, Hollis Huggins recorded 5-1/2 and Seth Price had 4-1/2 tackles, including a Mike Manning sack.
