April 26th, 2003 Salt Lake Stallions vs. Boise Roughriders
BOISE 38 SALT LAKE 0
BOISE - Rocky Crothers returned to the Roughriders in style, giving them a needed boost in the ground game, rushing for 81 yards and Cherone Schneider scored 2 touchdowns as the Boise Roughriders raced out to a 31-0 halftime edge over the Salt Lake Stallions and cruised in for a 38-0 Rocky Mountain Football League victory.
The passing game came alive, as well, benefitting from the bottom ranked pass defense in the league, as Chance Leeds and Anthony Miller both had big days, including scoring touchdowns for the Roughriders. After recording an RMFL record 16-1/2 tackles two weeks ago, 14-1/2 last week, Boise linebacker, Zac Jockumsen had an "off day" with a mere 12 tackles as he continues his assault on the RMFL tackles lead. Dane Knickrehm returned an interception 70-yards for a score to close out the first half scoring and Curt Haldeman recorded 5-1/2 tackles and a sack in supporting a strong Roughrider defensive unit in the shut out. The Stallions got another solid defensive effort from T.J.Byrd and Mike Sagapolutele (5 tackles, 1 interception). Sagapolutele also had a solid rushing day and Jeff Brown had a strong day solidifying the Stallion quarterback position for the second straight week.
