MORELAND - The Snake River Rebels raced out to a 20-3 second quarter lead and then held on for two+ quarters to hand the defending RMFL Champion, Pocatello Silverbacks their first defeat of the season, 20-15. Travis Boden rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns and Logan Cobb found brother Jessie Cobb for what would be the clinching score in leading the Rebel offense in the first half. The Rebel defense was once again lead by Charlie Bair (9 tackles) as well as Bill Vasas (7 tackles, 2 sacks) in keeping a potent Pocatello offense in check. After falling behind 20-3, the Silverbacks received excellent defensive support from the Sutton brothers, Trent (11 tackles) and Troy (9 tackles) as well as 2001 RMFL tackles champion, Al Covington (10 tackles). In the end, however, the Rebel defense held as the Silverbacks were unable to push one more score across to get the victory. The Silverbacks (4-1) next face the Helena Titans (2-2), in Helena, as the Rebels (3-1) take the trip up I-15 to play arch-nemesis, Idaho Falls (4-1).
