DAVIS 19 BOISE 10
OGDEN - The Boise Roughriders managed just 182 yards of total offense to add to their 5 turnovers and 10 penalties in losing to the Davis Vipers on Saturday in Ogden by a score of 19-10. The one bright spot for the Roughrider offense was the play of RB Corey Smith (22 carries/113 yards). Smith ran through, around and over the Viper defense throughout the game. Chance Leeds also added 4 catches for 45 yards with most of that yardage coming on excellent runs after short completions. The Boise defense played another strong game in trying to overcome the short field their offense kept giving the Vipers all afternoon. The defense was led by Zac Jockumsen (9 tackles), Dane Knickerehm (4 tackles, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery), and Curt Haldeman (7 tackles). The Roughriders defense rocked the Vipers all afternoon sending several players to the sidelines during the afternoon.
