IDAHO FALLS - Travis Boden rushed for 181 yards and Dustin Aldous lead a sterling Rebel defensive effort with 11 tackles, a quarterback knockdown and a big stop of Mustang quarterback, Cody Jackson on fourth down that set the defensive tempo of the game early as the Snake River Rebels continued their unbeaten streak against the Idaho Falls Mustangs, 20-14. Ron Childs lead the Mustang defense with 12 tackles including a spectacular, jaw-breaking hit stopping Rebel fullback, Charlie Bair on a fourth and one play. Mustang quarterback, Jackson, also came up big in the game passing for more than 250 yards and rushing for more than 50. Sean Powell had a break out game, going over 100 yards for the first time this season and catching 10 passes. The game was a great struggle of two great teams as Idaho Falls came back from 14-0 and 20-7 to get to 20-14 in the fourth quarter. The Mustangs would have a couple of opportunities to score late, but the Rebels, lead by Aldous, Jeb Harrison (7 tackles, 1 sack), Bill Vassas (5 tackles, 1 sack) and Matt Chidester (4 tackles, 2 sacks), snuffed each of the Mustang late rallies. The Mustangs (4-2) now prepare to host the surging Mini-Cassia Bulldawgs (3-3) as the Rebels (4-1) go home to host the Boise Roughriders (1-4).
