MADISON 26 MINI-CASSIA 22

A blocked Chris Hanni punt off a poor punt snap for the Mini-Cassia Bulldawgs set up the third David Allen touchdown run for the Madison Lionz vaulting the first year Lionz to victory 26-22 over the seasoned Mini-Cassia Bulldawgs in a game full of twists and turns throughout. The game saw Lionz quarterback, Dave Allen rush for 3 touchdowns while his counter from the Bulldawgs, Mike Manning set an RMFL record for single game passing yards with 406 yards, breaking Great Falls Ranger quarterback, Shane Jurasek's 2-year old mark of 340, and becoming the first RMFL passer to pass for over 400 yards. The Bulldawgs, however, were victimized by a number of open receivers dropping passes that might have resulted in a different outcome. The Lionz played inspired team football, relying on a Allen's running as well as David Jensen who racked up almost 100 yards of total offense on his own. Lionz middle linebacker, Greg Rammell lead all tacklers with 9-1/2 tackles. The Lionz next contest will be a non-league game against the Weber Renegades while the Bulldawgs see arch-nemisis, Boise in their next tilt.
