Rangers Best Warriors To Remain Perfect

Tailback Russell Davis scored on a one-yard run, and Jason Peters added a pair of field goals, including an unofficial Rocky Mountain Football League record 45 yarder in the third quarter, as the Great Falls Rangers nipped Billings 15-7 before 302 fans at Paris Gibson Middle School's field.
Davis, who rushed for 46 yards on eleven carries, made the score 9-0 early in the second quarter.
The Rangers cashed in their first safety in their brief two-year history when Warrior punter Eddie Williams stepped out of the end zone after a high snap from the Billings two yard line.
Williams scored the Warriors' only points in late in the second, catching a 61-yard toss from Tafuna Tusi. Williams added the PAT. Peters, from Burnett, Texas, scored his possible record 45-yard field goal - his first of the season - midway through the third, and added a 29-yard kick in the final frame to close out the scoring.
The Warriors, 0-2 in the RMFL North Division, host the Rocky Mountain Cobras next Saturday at the Huntley Project High School field.
Great Falls, 3-0 for the season and 2-0 in the RMFL North, will host the Wasatch Warriors next Saturday at Paris Gibson Field.  Game time is 4:00 PM.
