The Mini-Cassia Bulldawgs got their second win of the season against the Fort Hall Cobras in a hotly contested defensive struggle 12-2. Neither team could muster much offense, however the Bulldawgs saw a resurgence of their rushing game, getting 75 yards from fullback, Juan Labra and 65 yards rushing from quarterback/tailback, Lonnie Edwards. The quarterback depleted, Fort Hall Cobras turned to 5th year RMFL linebacker veteran, Mike Merrill who had a strong performance, completing 8 passes for 112 yards, 6 for 101 to Matt Gonzalas. The Bulldawg defense, lead by Jr. Hale, Chuck Jones and Mario Labra with 4 tackles each, intercepted three Merrill passes and snuffed the Cobra rushing game, holding the Cobras to 74 yards on 20 carries. The Cobras, however, improved from their season-opener against the Bulldawgs, when the Bulldawgs lit them up for a 44 - 0 score and could not muster 100 total yards of offense in that game. The Bulldawgs were without their star quarterback, Mike Manning and wide receiver Trent Vest in this contest.
