Paul Dovel threw 4 touchdown passes and Rocky Lopez and Tom Bicandi combined for 170 rushing yards as the Boise Roughriders manhandled the Mini-Cassia Bulldawg defense en route to a 45-16 victory. The Roughriders amassed 339 total yards of offense and an opening half kickoff return for touchdown by tight end, Jamie Vincent, in gaining temporary sole possession of first place in the Rocky Mountain Football League. The Bulldawgs were lead by Mike White with 7 tackles and Casey Neilson with 6 tackles on defense and touchdown reception on offense. Quarterback Mike Manning returned to action after several weeks off to throw for over 200 yards and a touchdown pass to lead the Bulldawg offense. Dawg tailback, Lonnie Edwards was little short of electrifying in gaining 95 rushing yards and 105 receiving yards for 200 total yards for the game. However, the Roughrider defense, lead by Don Nelson and Bill Martin with 5 tackles a piece and Rick Brokaw with 2-1/2 tackles, a blocked punt and forced a bad punt on the Bulldawgs opening possession to set up field position for the Roughriders opening score.
