BOISE CARDINALS 22 BOZEMAN KODIAKS 20
Robert Jackio broke off a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter which proved to be the game-clinching score and the Boise Cardinals won their 5th straight game, ending the Bozeman Kodiaks 4-game winning streak 22-20, Saturday in RMFL action. Jackio (who finished the game with almost 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns) combined with Rocky Lopez (22 carries, 89 yards) to lead a dominating ball-control rushing attack to keep the ball away from an explosive, league-leading, Bozeman offense. The Kodiaks, who lost starting quarterback, Rob Dieffenbach to injury, rallied around back up quarterback, Joe Driskell (3-6-0-58, 5 rushes, 25 yards) to mount a late charge keyed by a 43 yard pass from Driskell to star wide receiver, Sean Hayward, just fell a little short in the end. The Kodiaks (5-2) now may face their toughest test of the season at home against the Wasatch Wildcats (6-0). The Cardinals get to stay home and host a revamped Great Falls Rangers (3-3) squad.
