RMFL SUBMITS OPENING FOR NEW MARKETING DIRECTOR/STAFF TO LEAD

AGGRESSIVE MARKETING EFFORT FOR 2009

RMFL -  RMFL Commissioner, Jared Neumeier, announced today that he is seeking applicants for a new Marketing Director heading into the 2009 Season.  Original Marketing Director, Ken Perkins, has been mutually released from the RMFL staff as the league begins positioning itself to tackle the issues that confront the league leading into the 2009 campaign.

“Ken did a lot for the league in the two years he was there,” Neumeier said, “although it doesn’t show up in league sponsorships, the package he put together was great and professional work.  The one sponsor he did get for us, the Holiday Inn Comfort Suites in Ogden, has become a great partner for the RMFL and a great place to stay.  I stayed over night there when I came down for the AAA championship and never slept in a more comfortable bed!”

Neumeier is asking all potential Marketing applicants to submit an e-mail to the league with a simple brief outline of your experience.  The league e-mail is:  rockymountainfootball@yahoo.com

“I don’t need a full blown resume and “application” at this point,” Neumeier said, “In actuality, my intention is to fill several Marketing positions, including the Marketing Director and a number of regional Marketing Representatives.  The “Director” will probably someone I might know and can trust the most to lead the effort, not necessarily the greatest of the sales team.  The others will hopefully operate out of a given area.  The goal is to raise enough RMFL League Sponsorships heading into the 2009 Kick-Off meeting to give us a lot of options.  Further, we want to create a “Travel Pool Fund” to help teams that have to take “extensive” road trips during the regular season.”

Neumeier said the details of that plan will be released at a later date.  “It will be something that we will talk about as a Managing Board and develop qualifying criteria and some kind of equation relating to the funds.”

For now, Neumeier explained, the RMFL is wanting to flush out as much of its combined Marketing talent and ideas as it can. “Even if someone doesn’t necessarily want to be the Director or even a representative,” he said, “if you have a great lead, let me know.  The entire effort will be commission based… and any player or fan who can lead us to a solid sponsorship, can get the proper rewards.

Neumeier said he will take applicants through August 31st and then begin an interview process as he begins to set up a Marketing staff.  “I’ll get the Director on board first,” Neumeier said, “then he/she can work on getting their own staff in place.”
