DOUGHERTY, SHODA AND NIXON GET RECOGNIZED AS “MOST VALUABLE” AS RMFL MANAGING BOARD RECOGNIZES THE GAMES GREATEST PLAYERS

 

RMFL – First the players spoke… then the RMFL Managing Board spoke again.  With 21 member teams present, Troy Dougherty of the Madison Lionz captured his second RMFL MVP award gaining 7 Managing Board votes, edging Dave Stireman of the Ogden Rhino-Raiders who had 5 votes for the coveted overall League MVP award.  In a very close defensive vote, Matt Shoda of the Utah Wolverines walked away with the honor, barely edging out Mike Christensen of the Vipers and Zac Jockumsen of the Boise Roughriders.  Record-breaking running back, Justin Nixon of the Bitterroot Blaze, however, “ran” away with the offensive MVP award, receiving 8 votes while nearest competitors, Troy Dougherty, theVipers Josh Christensen and the Rhino-Raiders, Damon Greenberry all picked up 3 votes a piece.
