MADISON’S NATE BROWN IS “MOST VALUABLE”; TEAMMATE DOUGHERTY CLAIMS OFFENSIVE MVP, SALT LAKE’S REGAN GARNERS DEFENSIVE HONOR

RMFL –  The RMFL awarded its greatest individual hardware Saturday, at its traditional halftime awards presentation.  League championship runner-up, Madison Lionz, walked away with two of the highest honors as the Managing Board selected the Lionz’ Troy Dougherty for Offensive MVP of the league and star tight end and league leading receiver, Nate Brown (pictured below accepting his award) as the League’s Most Valuable Player.  Dougherty threw 22 touchdowns against only 3 interceptions during the regular season for an incredible 130.94 effeciency rating while Brown lead the league with 807 receiving yards on 47 receptions including 9 for touchdowns. Not included in that was a gritty performance at the Championship game in which he hauled in 13 catches.  Defensively, Salt Lake’s Harold Regan was named Defensive MVP of the league.  Regan had more than 200 yards in kick returns to go along with 33 tackles on defense; however, his 9 interceptionsk, 6 returned for touchdowns is expected to live in RMFL record books for a long time.
