HORSESHOE BEND - Ernesto Ramos rushed for 105 yards on 16 carries and 3 touchdowns including the final two back-breaking scores in the 4th quarter as the Boise Roughrider pulled away from a 15-13 lead in the 4th quarter to defeat the Utah Wolverines 29-13.

After a scoreless first period, as the two defensive juggernauts exchanged possessions and mistakes, Ramos broke into the end zone with his first score, a 6-yard run earlier in the second quarter before the Wolverines got on the board with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Cale Sheppard (19-35-2-180-1) to Joe Mirales to take a 7-6 lead going into the half. Boise's Sheridan Hodson caught a 66-yard 3rd quarter toucdown pass from newly appointed Roughrider starter, Brian Stogsdill (12-26-3-247-1) in the third quarter to give the home Roughriders the lead for good. Tight end, Shawn Mares had his biggest day, catching 5 passes for 112 yards to keep a number of Roughrider drives alive.

Wolverines, Billy Davis had another great day rushing, gaining 106 yards on 16 carries and an early 4th quarter touchdown to pull the Wolverines to within 15-13. Defensively, the Wolverines got a great performance from defensive back, Dustin McCammon (8 tackles), Jeremy Smith (6 tackles) and Daniel Beck (5-1/2 tackles, 1 sack).

Zac Jockumsen (14 tackles), Terance King (7 tackles), Austin Callison (5 tackles, 2 sacks) and Bill Dennison (4 tackles, 2 sacks), once again paced a solid defense against an offense that had dominated the Helena Titans the previous week at home.
