BOISE 47 MOUNTAIN HOME 0

MOUNTAIN HOME - Ernesto Ramos rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown and 6 different players found the end zone as the Boise Roughriders completed a convincing 47-0 victory over neighboring expansion franchise, Mountain Home Bengals.

Ramos' rushing performance was tops on the day around the RMFL against an undersized Bengal defense as the Roughriders controlled the ball and the clock, rushing 24 times as a team for 209 yards. The Roughriders only attempted 12 passes, however, 7 were completed for 139 passing yards, including 3 scoring strikes from Roughrider starting quarterback, John Armstrong (4-7-0-87-3) to Sheridan Hodson (41 yards), Shawn Mares (4 yards) and David Robinson (22 yards).

Although the game got out of hand quicly for the Bengals, the Bengal defense could take solice in the fact they held the Roughriders to one second half score, an 18-yard pass from back-up quarterback, Brian Stogsdill to Jared Gast in the fourth quarter.

The Roughrider defense pitched their third staight shutout (shutting out the Davis Vipers and Columbia River Coyotes in pre-season action). Stepping up, as usual, for the Roughriders was reigning defensive MVP, Zac Jockumsen (7 tackles, 1/2 sack), as well as Terance King (5.5 tackles), Shane McCubbins (4.5 tackles) and Austin Callison (3.5 tackles, 1 sack).
