MOUNTAIN HOME - Tim Taylor rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns and Skylar Sherwood threw two touchdown passes as the Layton Longhorns rolled over the winless Mountain Home Bengals 34-0.

The Pitbulls raced out to a quick 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter after a Taylor touchdown run and a Sherwood touchdown pass to Pitbull leading receiver, Jesse West. For two quarters, the Bengal defense dug in, limiting the Pitbulls to only one score, the second Sherwood touchdown pass to tight end Brandon Palmer midway through the second quarter. However, after the 4th quarter started with the Bengals still in the game, behind 20-0, the Pitbulls pulled away for the victory.

The Pitbull defense held the Bengals to a paultry 80 yards of total net offense on the day, lead by Franz Meyer (5 tackles, 1 sack), Troy Peterson (4 tackles, 1 sack) and Matt Peterson (3 tackles, 2 interceptions).

The Pitbull offense was held in check, at least for 2-1/2 quarters vastly by the efforts of Wesley Daniel (10-1/2 tackles, 1 sack), Brandon Guest (5-1/2 tackles) and Shane Jackson (4-1/2 tackles, 1 sack).
