HORSESHOE BEND - Russell Cummins rushed for 107 yards and caught 2 passes for 34 yards and a key third quarter touchdown to lead the Idaho Falls Mustangs in an offensive explosion against the defensive minded Boise Roughriders and a 27-12 victory.

Mustang quarterback, Cody Jackson also had a big game, passing for 240 yards on 17 completions and the touchdown toss to Cummins.

After the Roughriders took the early lead on 53-yard hook-up between John Armstrong (5-17-2-122-1) and wide receiver, Sheridan Hodson (2 receptions, 52 yards) that seemed to glance off Mustang defensive back, Josh Roth, the Mustangs clawed back with long drives culminating in short Scott Brown (16 rushes, 85 yards) touchdown runs to put the Mustangs up 13-6 at the half.

Cummins score put the defending RMFL champions up 20-6 before Roughrider cornerback, Dane Knickrehm intercepted Jackson near his own goal line after another long Mustang drive and returned it 95-yards to paydirt to pull the Roughriders to within 20-12.

Ernesto Ramos had a monster game as the primary offensive threat for the Roughriders, rushing for 150 yards on only 9 carries for the game. The Roughrider defense was pushed around for the first time on the season, however, RMFL Defensive MVP, Zac Jockumsen (9-1/2 tackles) and Terance King (7-1/2 tackles) mixed it up early and often in trying to slow down the Mustang attack. For the Mustang defense, Rayce Bird (4 tackles, interception) and Jason Cook (3 tackles, interception) contributed to some great Mustang team defense that limited the Roughriders to the one big pass to Hodson and a few big Ramos runs on the day.
