May 22, 2004 Glacier Knights vs. Helena Titans
HELENA 61 GLACIER 0
BOULDER - League-leading passer, Shane Jurasek pulled the hat trick. Jurasek rushed for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass and tossed three touchdown passes as the Helena Titans raced out to a 49-0 halftime shelling of the Glacier Knights and sailed in for a 61-0 final thrashing in a driving rain storm in Boulder, Montana.
The Knights made an early decision to crash the line of scrimmage and force the Titans to go to the air in the rain. So they did. Jurasek was 12 of 19 passing for 242 yards and touchdown strikes to Hollis Huggins, Joe Visser and Dave Garza. Garza, second in the league in receiving and first in the RMFL in scoring, posted a modest day by his standards, with 4 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. But it was more than enough for the under-manned Glacier Knight defense.
Spencer Steiner (7 tackles) and Micheal Moe (4-1/2 tackles) lead a sterling defensive charge that held the Knights to a meager 51 total net yards and two first downs during the game. Justin Lamb also had two sacks and Brian Zipperian intercepted another pass to add to his league-leading total.
In a losing effort, the Knights were not without their stars. Jason Zielanski had another stellar effort. Zielanski lead the team in tackles with 7-1/2, including a sack and an interception. On offense, Zielanski had two positive runs and caught one of the three completed passes for the Knights. Linebacker, Patrick Doty also had another nice effort on defense for the Knights with 7 tackles.
