MURRAY - For one quarter, the Mountain Home Bengals were still in the game.

Then, it happened... The Utah Wolverines exploded with 28 second quarter points and raced to a 35-0 halftime edge before coasting in for a 66-0 victory over the expansion Mountain Home Bengals.

The Wolverines got another monster game from tailback, Billy Davis. Davis rushed for 128 yards on only 12 carries including 2 touchdowns to help lead his team to their 5th victory against only one loss. Wolverine quarterback Cale Sheppard also had a great afternoon, passing for Sheppard 215 yards and 2 touchdowns on almost perfect passing.

After the Wolverine offense put up 35 first half points, the Wolverine defense and special teams did the rest in the second half. In the third quarter, Jeremy Smith returned a punt 47-yards to paydirt, Adam "Red Dog" Stinson blocked another punt out of the end zone for a Wolverine safety and after the safety, Kyle Ashby returned the free kick 65-yards for another score. Linebackers, John Beck (4 tackles) and Adam Stinson (3-1/2 tackles, sack, blocked punt) lead the defensive charge in the Wolverines 3rd shutout of the season. The other two victories, the Wolverines only allowed 6 points in each game.

The Bengals got solid performances from Tommy Manning, Brandon Guest, Charles Ballard, Chip Johnson, Pete Aveo, Shane Jackson and Stephen Smith as they begin the first of a 3-game road finishing schedule after playing 4 of the first 5 games at home.
